Alyssa Marie and Tina Koo, two inspiring young boxers, came together with Fortune Boxing Gym to present a donation-based boxing class to raise funds and awareness for the APPI community. We had the honor of speaking with Alyssa at the class and asked her to share with us their motivations for blending their love of boxing with supporting the eradication of Anti-Asian hate.
As a brand run by predominantly Asian men and women, it’s been terribly disheartening to witness the atrocities committed to those, especially the elderly, in the AAPI community. It means so much to see members of the AAPI community and our allies rallying together to defeat hate, promote togetherness, and spread awareness.
Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by these recent, senseless acts of violence and we hope to do whatever we can to help all of those in need.
